P4 Mrs C Hewitt & Mrs J Morrow

Welcome to our Class Page!

We hope you enjoy looking at some of the different things we are doing this year in P4!

Meet our Eco Warriors, Student Council and Digital Leaders.
Trading Places Day

We had great fun trading places with Mrs Hewitt and taking on the role of teacher for the day. Pupils were in charge of our class rules, routines and monitoring each other’s behaviour. We learnt a lot about teamwork, listening, leadership skills and had a lot of fun along the way. We just might have a few future teachers in our class!
The Owl Who was Afraid of the Dark

We have been reading The Owl Who was Afraid of the Dark as our class novel. To finish off the book we created some collage artwork of baby Plop. We think they turned out great!
Outdoor Learning Day

We had a wonderful time spending an entire day outdoors in our Forest School area. We made bird feeders, worked together to build nests, created birds from clay, listened for and identified garden birds and played bird call games.
Lough Neagh Discovery Centre

We really enjoyed learning about birds at Oxford Island. We used binoculars to do some bird spotting, had a mini beast hunt, visited the bird hide and played migration games. Some of us were very lucky to have garden birds landing on our hands to eat! A super days work finished off with a visit to the park before getting back onto the bus.

Pancake Tuesday

We enjoyed measuring out ingredients, mixing them together and of course choosing from the range of different toppings to create delicious pancakes together in class. We think Pancake Tuesday should come around more often!
Young Enterprise

We really enjoyed our live lesson with Young Enterprise. We used junk materials to create our own cities.
Amazing Journey Assembly.

P4 loved listening to the different Bible stories. They got to try on some of the clothing and enjoyed sharing a snack together.
We have been working very hard on our Tens and Units using number cubes!
We collected some leaves for our leaf men Art.

Keep an eye out for some pictures of them!
We enjoyed a Maths game afternoon as part of Maths Week 2025!
Counting and identifying numbers using sand, rice, Numicon and chalk.
